The iVMS-4500 app provides remote camera monitoring to Android users
The iVMS-4500 app provides remote camera monitoring to Android users. On Android 4.0 or higher operating systems, users can remotely review and control live video from networked cameras, digital video recorders, network video recorders and other sources. The app also allows users to play back previously recorded photos and videos. It supports a wide range of phone screen resolutions, including 480x800, 480x854, 960x540, 1280x720, 800x1280 and 1920x1080.
The iVMS-4500 service provides users with user-friendly tools to store and manage video and photo content locally. They can also control pan–tilt–zoom (PTZ) functionality on connected cameras and a wide range of alarm systems. In-app tools make it possible for users to review existing alarm notifications, set new notifications and respond to emergency alerts as well.
Wireless connectivity is available over 3G and Wi-Fi when supported by the user's Android smartphone. The app also makes it possible for a user to connect with devices in non-public IP scenarios via a dynamic domain name and port mapping to a nearby router.
The app's developer warns users that they should contact their internet or mobile data service provider about the potential for network traffic data charges associated with the use of this app.
