Brother iPrint&Scan connects an Android device to Brother equipment
Brother iPrint&Scan connects an Android device to Brother equipment. This app allows the Android user to send and receive information between their device and a standalone printer or all-in-one unit.
Once the two devices are connected, the user can initiate a print, scan or fax request from a user-friendly menu. They can also preview copies of documents, emails, photos, web pages and faxes before issuing any commands. During the preview stage, they can edit documents. Available editing tools include crop, scale and straighten options.
The app recognizes documents from not only the device, but also any other cable- or wireless-connected devices and the cloud, including Dropbox, Evernote and OneDrive online storage. The scan features directs a scan to the Android device to be saved as a PDF or JPEG file.
Brother iPrint&Scan doesn't require a computer or driver to work on an Android device. The app also works with a device's near-field communication option, if available. A Brother printer must support Google Cloud Print to work with the app's print anywhere feature that allows a user to print even while on the go.
Lastly, the app allows the user to check the machine's status. A user can review error messages and ink or toner cartridge volumes before proceeding with a particular task.
